An experienced drilling Engineer, proficient in well planning and well analysis, skilled in problem identification and solving and his responsibilities are:
• Drive performance improvement for planned wells, own the complete drilling optimization process, including - BHA designs, vibration mitigation, bit selection, and optimize hydraulics
• Monitor real time data, measure cost and time delivery according to the plan, alerting engineering team lead if process is outside of limits, or if evident opportunities exist.
• Bring consistency in drilling operations by reducing NPT and minimizing the flat times in drilling operations
• Gather and deliver the Risk Mitigation Report to Well Engineering Team Lead including best practice that relate to the well and root-cause failure reports for the individual challenges in the well
• With the use of well planning software, provide detailed Torque and Drag Analysis, sensitivity analysis, Critical Speed Analysis, Cementing Analysis, Swab and Surge Analysis and Hydraulics Analysis on drilling, casing/tubing.
• Set up DTL workshop and monitor implementation of performance improvement initiatives
• Analyze drilling performance in offset wells and setup new benchmarks to achieve.
• Help drilling team for casing design and drilling fluid selection and provide input in contract/tender negotiation process
