Job Description:
Summary of the Job:
· To install, secure, upgrade, patch and maintain oracle application database, software utilities as part of Database Support Services and ensure availability of Database instances.
· Installation Pre-requisites (software, system software, tools, Oracle patches, etc.)
· Escalate DBA activities issues to Oracle and third parties as appropriate and ensure timely problem resolution
· Maintain & provide installation, back-up, start-up & shut-down procedures, routine housekeeping jobs, policies & documentation to customer IT for maintaining application instances.
· Prepare technical Documents for the DBA Activities and submit for review to Project Manager or Team Lead.
· Ensure quality and adhere to timeline of the Project in cooperation with team members.
· Demonstrate continuous improvement to learn and grow in gaining application DBA.
· Handle Database and application Performance issues.
· Provide 24/7 support for critical situations.
· Participate in project closure activities for every project related to DBA Activities and secure all documents/code and deliverables with the central repository.
Skills:
· Arabic native speaker only. Fluent in English.
· 2+ Years Working Experience in the same field.
· Good knowledge on various operating systems.
· Should have intermediate to good Knowledge in core Oracle DBA area.
· Acquire up-to-date knowledge on latest releases of Oracle DB and applications.
· Should have good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
