NIIT announces Diploma Course in Digital Marketing

NIIT has announced a tie-up with Ireland's Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) to launch a professional diploma programme in digital marketing in New Delhi on Tuesday. 

The diploma programme, introduced for the first time in India, is validated by the Industry Advisory Council which consists of companies in IT, media, finance and communication, such as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Microsoft, NIIT said in a statement. 

DMI will run specialist training sessions with NIIT faculty for the programme which will commence from January next year. The programme will give an overview of search engine optimisation, pay-per-click marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, digital display advertising, mobile marketing, web analytics, e-commerce, and planning digital marketing campaigns. 

"With DMI's expertise in certification and training, we aim to create a globally competitive workforce for the digital marketing industry," G Raghavan, chief executive, career building solutions at NIIT said in a statement. 

Ian Dodson, global president and CEO, Digital Marketing Institute added: "There is a commitment from Indian people for quality education and skills. We are happy to participate in this as India develops into a potential world leader in the digital field." 

Launched in 2008 in Dublin, Ireland, DMI has partner operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa,North America and Asia.
