· Develop a clear strategic view of operational risk management. He will identify and mitigate the operational risk to the Company on Financial, IT, Production, Sales & Marketing, HR and Internal control aspects and business Continuity.
· The Insurance Risk Manager will also be responsible for coordinating independent risk assessment activities for the Company ensuring that the risk information is gathered and analyzed properly to monitor compliance with Company’s respective risk appetite ensuring that the risk management framework within the Company are effective and appropriate.

· Ensure that the Risk function is accessible to the business both formally and informally by building profile around the business and effective relationships and ensuring communication is professional.
· Help develop a robust risk culture to underpin the effectiveness of the entire risk management
infrastructure (e.g. Company’s philosophy towards risk, risk appetite, governance and structure of the risk function, etc).
· Assess all risk affecting the Company strategic objectives.
· Oversee and provide support in the implementation of the risk governance structure to help the business develop and implement the local risk management function.
· Lead the development and embedding of risk appetite measures within the Company ensuring that thresholds and metrics are aligned to business strategy.
· Make recommendations and justifications to the Company’s Risk Committee and the Board on suitable levels of risk appetite.
· Ensure risks are being managed and controlled within the risk appetite set by the Company.
· Escalate any concerns regarding critical risk decisions, transactions and potential breaches of appetite to the CEO.
· Ensure that the Risk Committee is kept appraised of the changes in the profile of all risks and in particular any risks which are near or in excess of appetite.
· Ensure that a comprehensive risk reporting system is established and maintained, which is aligned to the needs of the ERM framework.
· Monitor adherence to the risk policy and provide management reports on aggregate risks across each risk category and their interactions.
· Work closely with CEO to serve as point of contact for all risk reporting.
· Responsible for generating the company’s overall internal control of its operation.
· Requires a broad audit experience and the ability to interact with management at all levels.
· Requires excellent skills as well as strong knowledge of GAAP and audit techniques.
· Responsible for planning, executing and completing audit fieldwork according to established schedule , recommending internal control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies , and the preparation of audit reports as well as documenting controls.
· Build and manage an effective IQ regional team, and is able to conduct annual risk assessment, deliver annual audit plan etc.
· Utilizes audit objectives and procedures to review and assess the adequacy and application of internal controls through corporate operations. , may require the development and refinement of audit programs, questionnaires or other audit tools
· Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge base of company’s operations
Establish effective business relationships within the company and assist management in the understanding and adaptation of internal control principles.
· Be a team player and embrace the company’s compliance principles as a key component of audit process
Execute an efficient and effective audit approach as defined by internal audit management and ensure that all assigned work is completed according to schedule and within the establish budget parameters.
· Document and actively participate in the development of audit procedures performed as well as the preparation of noted concerns for audit report inclusion
· Be computer literate and have experience in the preparation and analysis of audit data through computer aided audit tools ( ACL, spreadsheets , database tools )
· Maintain a current knowledge base of audit industry practices and to ensure best practices as always considered. Performed all assigned audit duties in manner that reflects the highest professional standards and complies with the guidelines of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
· Experience in Internal Audit
· Direct People Management skills
· CPA, CIA or Chartered Accountancy is highly desirable
· Minimum of 6 solid years of experience in Audit (external or internal)

The Role
