Process Operators - Saudi Arabia

A leading US company requires a process operator for their Middle East operation. 

Job Description
Job Title:          Process Operator
Function:         This position is responsible for operating and maintaining MPR’s equipment at the client’s job site and at the shop to support MPR’s solvent removal technologies.  The process operator promotes the Company’s business by conducting work assignments in a professional, courteous and safe manner.
Reports To:      General Manager
Physical:          A normal “mobile job” shift will be 12 hours per day seven days per week until job completion and requires some lifting, pushing, and pulling of hoses and small equipment.
Working
Conditions:      Typical “mobile job” working conditions are outside, primarily in plants associated with the oil and gas processing industry.  This job requires extensive travel and extended periods away from the home base.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. 4-year engineering degree at an accredited university in mechanical or chemical engineering;
  2. fluent in writing and speaking English;
  3. experience in production programming and quality control lab administration;
  4. experience and/or training in laboratory procedures and analytical methodologies;
  5. have high mechanical aptitude; comfortable working with hands and tools;
  6. skilled in operating a personal computer and using spreadsheet software;
  7. physically capable of performing duties and responsibilities of the position;
  8. ability to work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional process teams;
  9. ability to set-up, operate and manage patented customized processes;
  10. understand statistical analysis and design of experiments;
  11. apply specialized scientific and technical knowledge to processes;
  12.  implement methods to extract, process and use raw materials in Company’s processes;
  13. hold valid driver’s license;
  14. must be willing to travel in the Middle East and to the USA for training


Example of Duties (may not include all duties assigned):
  1. take ownership of preventative and necessary equipment maintenance;
  2. ensure all equipment, hoses, fittings and accessories are inventoried and stored in clean and proper condition;
  3. operate and maintain all MPR/MME equipment;
  4. maintain job progress logs, keep detailed logs of job learnings, and take-aways;
  5. keep required company records, reports and administrative documentation;
  6. learn and maintain Company’s policies, regulations, rules and procedures;
  7. willing and able to work rotating shifts, irregular hours, nights, weekends and/or holidays, as required;
  8. maintain telephone at residence and availability for work on call-out basis;
  9. observe all laws and regulations while operating vehicle for company business;
  10. learn, understand, implement, and follow all company and client safety procedures;
  11. be familiar with and care for all safety equipment, understand how to don it and its proper use and function;
  12. ensure all safety supplies, equipment and personal safety gear is loaded and available for use on every job;
  13. keep job site clean and orderly at all times;
  14. attend and participate in all job safety meetings and monthly meetings;
  15. communicate regularly with supervisor and sales team;
  16. exhibit professional conduct with emphasis on customer satisfaction;
  17. ensure crew performs in skilled, professional manner;
  18. ensure proper on the job site housekeeping as well as that the job site is left in clean condition;
  19. work with other employees to program and troubleshoot hardware and software problems;
  20. work with other employees to program and install PLC control systems;
  21. take appropriate action in case of emergency; and
  22. perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Location of work will be in the Middle East. The position would be based out of Bahrain and will require extensive travel within the Middle East (mainly in theGCC countries) with the mobile unit.  Appropriate training will be provided and an attractive salary package including all the GCC related benefits will be offered.
