Individuals and companies in the Kingdom have been instructed to register their local addresses with the Civil Affairs Department or Saudi Post as the Council of Ministers yesterday passed a decision making it mandatory.
The Cabinet passed a law activating articles related to residency and work addresses in the Civil Status Law, Commercial Registration Law, and Residency Law. "All people and firms, to whom these laws apply, must register their addresses with the Civil Affairs Department, or Saudi Post," the Cabinet said. It also instructed them to inform the two about changes in addresses within six months.
Those who fail to provide their local addresses would be punished according to the above-mentioned three laws, Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said.
